Roller skating rink or Ice skating rink? I feel Harlan should add either one of these. Roller skating rinks are a fun thing to do in your free time. They have been around for about a century. 1930-1950 was a popular time for roller skating then again in the 70s and 80s. Roller skating is a fun thing to do with friends and family. Whether it be rollerblading or roller skating you could go out and enjoy it. A rink costs around $75,000+ but this is not including what renter skates would cost and maybe some extra fun stuff.
An Ice skating rink is also very fun. Ice skating rinks have been around since 1876 so they're pretty old too. An ice skating rink/hockey rink would cost up to $200,000 to $600,000. Now not only could a person skate for fun but there are some other perks to ice rinks. Figure skating is a sport that some people might enjoy doing around Harlan. Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. Another fun sport that could be added to Harlan is Hockey. Hockey is like football on ice with sticks instead of hands so I feel Harlan would enjoy it. (the only downside to the sports is they may cost a lot of money)
If it were up to me I would definitely add an ice rink to harlan. I feel it would be a fun thing for many people to do. I also love watching hockey and skating is pretty fun to do.

Personally, I think that a roller rink would be more fun and you could do it all year and not only in the winter. However, I see more opportunities in an ice rink because you can also do different sports on ice. Eventually, I think I would choose the roller rink because it is just more fun.
Personally I think early is fun and is good activity to do. I would rather have the roller rink because it could be open year round. Sometimes ice skating rinks stay open year round but not to many. I also think If we add a roller skating rink to Harlan there would be more things to do and our town would maybe be less boring and more entertaining.
I personally would choose a roller rink because it is year-round and it won't be cold. Ice rinks are usually open from November up until February. In Harlan, we don't have either a roller rink or an ice rink and I definitely think we should have more fun things to do in our town.
I think that ice rinks could be year round too if they are located inside but they may be a little more popular in october though february. I also think Harlan should add either.
I personally have not done much of either but I would rather do ice rink because you are outside most of the time and because you could nock your friends over if they came with you. I think that roller rinks are cool but I would rather just do ice because you can do stops and throw ice.
I've done both and liked ice skating just a bit more. By your knocking friends over comment I feel you would enjoy hockey which would be a plus side to ice rinks.
I think a rollar rink is better, I think mor people are able to do it. You will not have to bring hats and gloves, and a coat to it. I think that if we got it in harlan that a lot of people would go to it and the rink will make a lot of profit from it.
I agree that more people will find it esier and be able to do roller skating. I've done both and roller was way esier to get the grasp of.
