Ray's Elevator Ride

Back in July, Ray Rice was caught on film dragging his unconscious fiancee out of an elevator in New Jersey. He was given a 2 game suspension. But when a second video came out it, actually showed Rice striking his fiancee unconscious.  The suspension went from 2 games to an indefinite suspension. Nobody knows how long it will last, but Rice plans to fight the accusations. Also this past week he was released from the Ravens.

Do you think that he should able fight these charges? why or why not?

Do you think that the NFL took the right actions? Why or why not?

  • Better job replying for this story!

  • Yes because there has been a lot of incidents when football players abuse someone and get a second chance and get to fight it if not. I think they did but also i think they should have asked his wife if she forgives him.

  • I think he should be able to fight these charges and what the NFL did was reasonable. The chances of him winning this fight I would say are slim to none because they have the video showing him striking his fiancee.

  • Yes I think he should be able to fight the charges, he is just like anyone else. I think the NFL took the right actions because he needs a punishment especially if their is a video to prove it.

  • I mean, he had the right to fight the charges, but what he did wasn't right.  Yes, I think that the NFL took the right actions, he needs some kind of punishments!

  • What he did was wrong and he should be punished for his actions, and i believe what the NFL was the right thing. You shouldn't be allowed to get away with no punishment for hitting a woman. He was stupid for what he did and got what he deserves. He needs to be a man and take responsibility for his actions.

  • The NFL actually saw the video a long time ago but only gave him a 2 game suspension, and now that everyone saw it they suspended him indefinitely. He shouldn't be able to fight it because there's video evidence of him doing it, and of course the NFL didn't take the right actions because they saw the video before they gave him a 2 game suspension.

  • why would you fight the charges because they caught you on tape doing it

  • To me if they have cold hard evidence fighting would be a waste of time and money. I also believe that NFL took the right actions, you never know it could have just gotten worse and worse until it  affected him and the other players on the field.

  • I think that he can fight the charges, but it probably isn't going to do any good because of the proof that they have on video of his then fiancee being punched and then knocked out when leaving, I don't personally think he should try and fight the charges. Yes, I think that the NFL took the right actions, because with all the other problems they have had through different players, I think they should do what they can to avoid being known to allow illegal or unnecessary actions to happen by players and not being punished for it.
