Vladimir Putin has extended his grip on Russia for another six years after an overwhelming victory in Sunday's presidential election, a result that was never in doubt. Putin mowed over the other cantidates winning with 77% of the poll. That's a record high in voting. Putin will serve until 2024. After he is forced to step down in 2024 he will be 71 and unable to run again. This is his forth term.  Putin sailed to victory with no serious challenger. His nearest rival, Communist Party candidate Pavel Grudinin, won 11.79%,while ultra-nationalist Vladimir Zhirinovsky took 5.7%. His fiercest opponent, Alexei Navalny, was barred from the race(Click here for more: http://www.cnn.com/2018/01/27/europe/alexei-navalny-says-putin-regime-is-corrupt-intl/index.html). Putin has dominated Russian politics for 18 years and the 65-year-old was already the country's longest-serving leader since Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin. Once hs last term is over he will be 71. He made it clear that this is most likely his last term. After winning this election with flying numbers, Putin said this in his speech he delivered. "We are a single team, I am a member of this team, and all those who cast their ballots today are members of our large national team," he said, after a colorful show of high-energy musical performances. "I see this as a sign of trust and hope, the hope of our people that we will work as hard, with the same responsibility and effectiveness as before. Thank you for being such a powerful, millions-strong team. We will definitely succeed." There is a lot of speculation on whether Putin hacked this election. There were videos surveillance videos of multiple voting boxes being stuffed(For the video click here: http://cleanvideosearch.com/media/action/yt/watch?videoId=pH7uXZQsyHI).

Do you think the videos are real?

I think they are real but winning with over 65% is crazy.

Do you think Alexia Navalny was barred from the race because Putin was scared of competition?

yes I think Putin was scared of a possible defeat and somehow

  • I'm not really sure if they are real or not. It isn't my place to judge I guess. I do believe winning with such a high percentage is a little outrageous though. Winning with over like a 60% is odd to me.

  • I think the videos are real also but I can't believe he won by that much. I don't think Putin took Alexia Navalny out of it because he was scared. Putin I think knew in a way that this would be easy because of what he has allready done for Russia. Just look at how much he won by.

  • I think the videos are definitely real, because it wouldn't surprise me if he would do something like this. I don't believe that Putin will be necessarily scared of competition, like in the fact that he believed he might lose, but I feel like he was scared of not getting as much percent of the vote as he wanted.

  • 1. I don't know unless someone have proof and fact to convience me if it real or not

    2. No I think he wasen't scare because he give a speech to try to win.
