Palm Sunday Church Bombings in Egypt

This Sunday was Palm Sunday a very important day for Christians. Two churches in Egypt were bombed Sunday morning, leaving 36 people dead and almost 100 people wounded. ISIS is claiming responsibility for the attack on the Christian churches. One church has been completely destroyed and some have said you can see the blood on the marble pillars in the remains of the church. These attacks come a few days after President Trump expressed his support for the area, and his willingness to defeat terrorism. This area is very dangerous for Christians, as many attacks have already happened.

Why would someone want to do something like this?

Do you think ISIS is responsible? Why?

I think that someone would want to do this because they are not accepting of anyone else's opinions. They believe that their religion is the only one that is right and that they have the consent of their leader to kill everyone else that does not agree with them. I think ISIS is responsible because they have done attacks similar to this in the past and I do not think it will stop here either.

  • Well done!

  • It because ISIS or certain, actually a lot of Islam believers hate the western countries and culture so they want to eradicate it from earth so they bombed the church to kill and send a message to everybody that doesn't believe in Islam or die. Yes Isis is responsible.

  • I think that people did this because they don't believe in what Christians believe in. They want everyone to believe in what they believe in. I do think that this is ISIS's responsibility. ISIS doesn't think Christianity is a good religion and that their religion is the only religion.

    • They are very intolerant against other religions that aren't based on Islamic beliefs. They want to exterminate every other religion that does not agree with theirs.

  • I think people want to do this because they can't learn to accept others opinions on views like religion and want everyone to see it the same way. I think ISIS is responsible because of their previous history and it is like things they've done in the past

  • I think that they would do this because they follow in the path of others and think what would make things harder for everyone else. They believe that if people dont accept what they believe that they should be punished. I also think ISIS is responsible because knowing their past, its likely for it to happen again.

    • I agree. ISIS hates other religions because they believe that theirs is the only one that is correct or true. They have killed multiple people because of what they believe.

  • I do believe that ISIS had something to do with it because they are sending a message of hate against Christianity. The relationship between Christians and Muslims haven't been on the best of terms. All of these jihadists and radical Islamics refuse to except anyone or other religion.

    • i agree that they are sending messages

  • Because they can;t except other religions and think violent retaliation is the right thing to do. Yes I think they are because they are the  main terrorist group in the area and are known for doing terrible things like this.
