Oklahoma Cold Cases Solved: 6 missing people found

A group of three teens in 1969 were found in a 1969 blue Chevrolet Camaro murky lake. The descriptions and DNA tests match the missing reports of a case in 1970. The teens said they were planning on attending a football game the night they went missing but possibly skipped the game to go hunting instead because there were two rusty, corroded hunting rifles in the car. The deaths were accidental.

How do you think that the car ended up in the lake?

A group of three people from age 42 to 69 went missing one night in 1969 and were found in the same murky lake as the teenagers a year later. The group was found in a green Chevrolet. The DNA matched that of a missing persons case that same year. The last anyone saw of them was a person who helped them get their car started by "giving them a push". Deaths were accidental and all victims died due to drowning.

How do think the car ended up in the lake, do you think it could have been due to car troubles?

  • Interesting but you pose a question that is really difficult to answer. Good job replying!

  • I think that they were being dumb and drove into the water

    • could be. its hard to find out what happened when the case is that old.

  • I think they were just being teenagers messing around as they were driving and maybe made a bad turn and ended up in the lake. I think the other person was really trying to help them but possibly pushed to hard or something. I think it most likely started from car troubles.

    • Thats what I was thinking too.

  • I think the car ended up in the lake mostly because the teens were drunk, I think it was an accident because the brakes probably failed along with the engine

    • There was no evidence of alcohol involved in the accident.

  • There are a lot of reasons that you could think of, but the most common would be car troubles, due to the evidence.

  • The group of teens probably ended up in the lake due to car troubles. They also could have been messing around which lead them into the lake. Same to the other group of people.

  • I think that they were drunk because that's what high schoolers did back then and I don't think it was on purpose that they died but I still think that anyone murdered them.
