NFL Quarterback Arrested

Trevone Boykin of the Seattle Sea Hawks was arrested for violating probation. Trevone was on probation for fighting with police in 2016 when he was also arrested for intoxication and drug possession. 8 Injuries were caused by Trevone and the driver of the car after they caused a crash. For this violation he faces up to one year in jail and $4,000 fine. He was a free agent out of TCU and was a back up for Russell Wilson for six games.

1. Do you think the NFL should punish him? If so what should the punishment be?

2. Do you think that teams should put up with players that act like this.

I think that the U.S. should punish players like this and possibly kick them out of the NFL because it gives them a bad reputation.

  • Well done! Be sure to hyperlink correctly.

  • Yes, and suspension from the game for two seasons, since not only did he violate probation he was also in possession of drugs, which depending on his medical history and what the drugs were, this itself should be enough for a two season suspension and possibly even fired. no, because doing this would seem that the teams condone this behavior and that would ruined the name of the team.

  • I think the team he plays for should punish him for his actions. They should be allowed to do whatever they feel is proper to punish him. No teams should not put up with that kind of behavior, it reflects bad on the team.

    • I agree because with the 49'ers when the quarterback didn't stand for the national anthem it made their fan base get smaller and the whole team lost respect for just one players actions so it reflects worse on the team then the player.

  • 1. I dont think the NFL should punish him vecause he "caused" a car crash I think that the teams should punish the players not the nfl its self. Although he made a wrong their is nothing that can happen now.

  • I think the NFL should punish him regardless of the consequences he will be faces already. Men like him should realize that behavior such as his will not be tolerated no matter what. I think his punishment should enlist some sort of suspension from playing. I do not think that teams should put up with this.

    • I agree because if they keep letting players get away with stuff then more and more will stop following the rules so they should be more strict on this.

  • I think that he should be punished because of the bad and dangerous examples that he is leading for fans. I do not think they should because all it does is make their whole team look bad when incidents like this happen.

  • I think they should punish him for what the example he gave because this is a dangerous thing for fans if they were to do the same. Should be kicked out of NFL and Jail time. Absolutely not, they shouldn't have to

  • I think that he should be punished and have to serve a long suspension. I think the teams also have to have consequences for actions like these and cannot allow behavior like this to continue.
