ISIS Tortured its hostages.

New information has been released that ISIS had been torturing their hostages to make them couperate some of the torturing included mock hangings, starving them and waterboarded prior to their beheadings. Also realised that most of the hostages they had taken are from countries that usually payed ransoms when its people were taken to increase the likeliness of them being payed the ransom, unlike the U.S.

Why do you think the U.S. wouldn't pay ransom for its people that got taken?

  • Because the U.S. does not negotiate with terrorists, because nothing good comes out of it.
  • Because the US doesn't really negotiate well with terrorist. The US might trade some but has a strong military so will just go in and attack and get them back.

  • That true Logan if we start negotiating with some terrorist other terrorists groups might think we will negotiate with them if they take our people
  • The United States has already said that we do not negotiate with terrorists.

  • I think that it is because of our stubborn rule of we don't negotiate with terrorists which is really sad but if we start negotiating with certain groups then we will have to negotiate with all groups.

  • Because the US cant make deals with terrorist.

  • thats true sara, america is a country that other countries look up to, and if we were to give into terrorist we will look weak.

  • We would seem like we were unable to fight back, that we aren't ready for a war, that we are scared and to weak, and we dont want to look like we are stepping down.
