Have you ever tried googling yourself or someone else to see what comes up? Not a lot of information comes up on the you or the intended person. Well a new website called "Truth Finder" is sweeping the nation and is supposedly helping people. Truth Finder gives personal information to anyone who searches your name. It shows criminal records, addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, your friends and family, and even satellite documentation which is where the person has recently been picked up by cameras. Some people are saying this is a tool and its helping people see what others personal background is like. An example being a girlfriend searching a new boyfriend to see what he has done.
Questions -
What are your thoughts on this, are you okay with having your information shown to everyone and anyone?
Do you think this is a helpful "Tool" to use?
Opinion -
I really don't like knowing that all my personal information is on a website that everyone can see, I don't have anything to hide on my files but if I really did then I wouldn't want anyone to see it. I think that this can be helpful in some ways but I don't see how their can be more positive things than negative.

I think maybe the criminal records would be helpful. But, I think the fact that they could look up your address, phone number, my birthday, family and friends, and even see me on cameras is just creepy. I think this website is probably illegal and shouldn't be up. Not everyone needs to know all the personal details about yourself.
First of all I don't think that something like that actually exists. If it has ever existed it was probably already put down by the government. But for sure I don't want that all my personal data is published online. No one should ever be able to just put in a name and get every single information about that person in a quarter of a second. That sounds scary if not even disturbing.
I feel uncomfortable knowing that someone can just look up my name and see all of my personal information. I'm not okay with it. I mean maybe it would benefit employers but it's not okay that everyone has access to this.
I think this is just plain weird to be honest and I wouldn't really be comfortable with having my information spread around the internet. I don't think this is useful at all.
I am not okay with all of this information being out in the open if someone knows my name because it could lead to murder, rape, or kidnapping. I believe it could be helpful for employers to do background checks, but I don't think that the address and satellite documentation is needed on the site.
No, I do not like knowing people could put name into a website and pretty much everything about me would come up. I do not like to think that any random person could find anything they want to know about me. Yes it could be helpful if you want to get to know everything about someone, but I still do not think it is good. It is getting to be way to easy to get people's very personal problems and all their information.
I can see why you think that this can cause personal problems, considering that this is personal information, there are many situations where this website can ultimately screw someones life up.
This is not ok. We should be able to have private lives! Do you want some creap checking up on every thing you do? Me I totally wouldn't. Some things need to be remained private and then showing people where I may have been is just even worse! Some information doesn't need to be put out on the internet.
I agree with you when you say this isn't okay, some things like private information should be kept to yourself, and no one should be able to access it without permission.
