House speaker John Behner spoke on an ABC Sunday morning show titled "This Week". During the show he talked about ISIS, and president Obama's strategy in fighting them. He says that the strategy that is being used is not going to be enough to take down this extremist group and that more action will have to be taken. In His opinion, he claims that sending ground troops to fight ISIS would give us a better chance of taking this group down, however President Obama has no intention of doing what Behner suggests.

President Obama's strategy is to continue the campaign in the skies, with airstrikes. He wants to leave the ground campaign up to the Iraqi forces, The Kurdish fighters, and the trained Syrian Rebels. Many politicians feel that this is still not enough to take down ISIS and we should still send ground troops. Obama is being highly criticized for refusing to meet this requests. My questions to you are, Do you think we should send ground troops to fight ISIS or not?, and why.  Also if President Obama decides to stick to his word and not send troops do you still think ISIS can be taken down?

  • Good story! Apparently people don't want to discuss it.

  • ISIS can easily be taken down without ground troops, however we will never send ground troops back, if Obama does so  will be under so much criticism and disapproval.

    • agreed, a great air force weakens ISIS leaving them wide open
