Forest Fire in Chile city

A raging forest fire leaps from hilltop to hilltop in Santiago, Chile. The fire has killing 7 people and destroyed 500 homes. The fire started on Saturday afternoon on the city's main hilltop. The high wind made the fire spread quickly. The fire made the town loose electricity and turned the night sky orange.

What do you think caused the fire?

Do you think the fire was a act of terrorists.

  • A bit brief in your summary but good job replying!

  • I don't think there was any foul play involved. why would terrorists burn down a forest?

  • I don't think it was a terrorist act. Just look at what is going on around here with all the fires and the wind picking them up. As for the cause it could be anything.

    • Yeah it probably wasn't a terrorist attack but you never know.

  • I think its hard to tell if it was the act of a terrorist. I hope that this wasn't though hopefully we start moving away from terrorism.

  • I think that maybe the fire could have started because maybe the ground was too dry or that it had a little spark to start it. I don't think that it was terrorists because accidents happen like that and I think we would have been able to tell if something was going to happen with terrorists.

    • Yeah the dry weather probably played a major role in the fire.

  • i think the fire just started i dont think terrorists would do that to there own town

    • It could be because it is always very hot down there.
