On Saturday, April 19th, the Sheridan family put a toy duck on their deceased 14 month old child's grave. 4 hours later, it was gone. Police had previously installed a security camera since this wasn't the first time this had happened. The tape showed 54 year old Freida Kay Shade stealing the duck. When questioned, she said there was a dog that she feared would take the duck so she grabbed it before the dog did. The tape showed that there was no dog in the area.
I think that this woman is absolutely insane. What kind of person would do this kind of thing?
What kind of mental state do you think Shade was in that she stole a toy from a child's grave? Should she be punished?

I don't think that she should be punished but i do think that she is lying about the dog and probably just decided to take it, they should probably just make her apologize to the family and put the duck back from where she took it.
This is really weird. She needs to go to a mental hospital or needs to be punished for this kind of thing. That is an awful thing to do to a family.
I think it's so awful that anyone would steal something from a grave, much less a child's grave. I think that she should at least get a fine or have to apologize to the family because she made an extremely difficult time for them that much harder.
I don't think that she should be punished severely but there should be some punishment for doing it. Either way she should put the duck back.
Of course she should be punished you can not just take something out of someones grave.
Why would you steal something from somebodies grave.. that is a terrible thing to do... She was probably not right in the head when she did this.. who knows?
what the heck is wrong with this lady I cant believe she took a toy duck off of the grave that is sick but i am pretty suprised that a grave yard has to have cameras that is sad that people cant even be trusted in a place like that
I think shes crazy to have stolen a duck from a child's grave. I think she should be punished just as any other theft.
i think this is a really weird story. like why would she need a toy duck.
She must have some mental illness that causes her to see things that aren't there and that's why she thought she a dog. Why would it matter if the dog took the duck anyway, she did the same thing the dog would have done.
