Boys Age 9 left home alone for months

The two twi boys were left home alone, in the care of the uncle. While their parents were going to Nigeria for a month. The parents had gotton a phone call saying everything was fine. But what they didn't know is that the uncle was never really actually home with them. Also there was no edible food in the house except for ramen noodles. The uncle told the boys to call him if they needed anything such as food or help with homework, but the phone they had was not working, They uncle then said to use a neighbors. The boys got up and ready for school all by themselves, then ate breakfast and lunch at school. The boys said they felt scared and lonely since no one was there.

Why do you think the uncle left them?

Why do you think the parents left to Nigeria?

    This is terrible who would do something like what the boys's uncle did? The uncle is the epitome of lazy, and i certainly hope the parents went for something important.

      I'm sure they went for something important but the uncle should have been more responsible.

    The uncle was clearly selfish and didn't care enough to take care of them

    I think the uncle was just to lazy and didn't know how to take care of kids. I think the parents left on a vacation or church mission and they thought that their kids were in a safe place.

      The uncle is just cruel and mean, and shouldn't have taken responsibility.

    Maybe the uncle is just not capable of taking care of anyone even himself. REally dont know why the parents just left.

      Well the parents probably went to go help people in Nigeria and thought that the uncle would have been able to take care of their kids but obviously not.

    I think the uncle just didn't want to take time from his day to do something he should have. The parents probably went on vacation or for church or something.
