A scientific tale of two dresses

A scientist tells why the dress that has everyone fighting about seems different to everybodys eyes. They either say its gold or white or some say its blue and black. So the reason why some do see one or the other or both, is because of the tiny cones in the back of our eyeballs that percieve colors in a slightly different ways it all depends on our genes. If you don't know what tiny cones I'm talking about, they are in your retinas. They are a layer of nerve tissue that lines the back of our eyes. They detect the green,blue,and and red in a photo. Those cones and your brain mix those colors to make other colors but ninety-nine percent of the time we see the same but this dress that has everyones talking about hits the exact right spot to confuses some.

I see white and gold. I think this got way out of hand. I think it is dumb how one picture went so viral over 1 picture.

I see black and blue, but white and gold when I switch the colors on my phone to negative or "inverted". Honestly, I could care less. ^_^

I see white and gold. It's just so weird that two people could look at the same exact picture and see different colors.

Congratulations America, while every other country is discussing major wars, issues, and problems in the world, we can't get over the fact that a dress has an optical illusion. outstanding.

I see black and blue.. sometimes white and gold when the lighting in the picture is different but mostly black and blue.

Everyone sees it differently, its just the way our eyes see it. I see white and gold. But I know its black and blue.

I saw a black and blue dress, but I don't understand why there was such a big deal about that because it's just a dress it's not like someone was throwing puppies off a cliff.

Who cares it's old news. Its just a stupid dress. Ans i've seen both black and blue and gold and beige.
