9/11 Wedding Photo

For some people hope is all the have to hold on too. For one women this was her hope a simple picture found in the dust and rumble after the 9/11 attack on the twin towers. She was out visiting a friend when the falling of the towers occurred. As she was hurry away she caught glimpse of a wedding photo laying among the rumble of cement and debris.  With the help of social media and 35,000 re-tweets later the picture of the bride, groom, two maid of honors, and best man someone finally took recognizance of the people in it. The groom in the picture worked up in one of the trade centers and was lucky to be caught in subway traffic and not aloud to continue on to work as the first tower crumbled. The photo was later returned to the couple thirteen years later.

What would you have done with the lost wedding photo?

  • Good job Jacob! Good story choice.

  • It is sort of hard to decide. The person looking for it would like it if you returned it, but it would be hard, like finding a needle in a haystack, to find that person.

  • I would try and give it to the bride and groom because im sure that picture has great sentimental value.

  • I would have found the people in it, because it would be really uplifting to do something like that, to see if the couple was still together.

  • I probably wouldn't have picked it up or just would have took a picture of it like the lady did and just try and get it out to the people who it owned to or I might have just thrown it away.

  • I would have attempted to return it to the family.

  • I probably would of left it there, and kept focusing on me. But its hard to say what I would do i've never been in that situation so I don't really know how I would react. Its cool that the photo was returned tho.

  • I don't know if I could get it all the way around but I would at least try its a big deal to this couple I would think. Depends on you and how thoughtful you are what you want to do.

  • I would have done what this lady did, and post it on social media to try and find the bride or groom it belonged to because like you said hope is the only thing some people have to hang on to and that could be that  one little piece of hope for the couple or family members if the groom wouldn't have survived the attack.

  • I would have posted it all over online to see if someone new who's it was, just in case they survived the attack i think that they would want the precious moment to keep at hand with them.
